WavePad Masters Edition App Reviews
I had been using the lite version for many years and FINALLY decided to purchase the full version. Yes, it is an expensive application, but it is TOTALLY WORTH IT. As a dance instructor who constantly needs to edit music, this is THE BEST PROGRAM EVER! Thank you!
The application on the page appears to be 4.55 while on my mac it is 4.54 and still asking for an update. After an update it is again 4.55 and asks for an update. There is no VST support in this version of app which was installed from the mac app store while VST support was the main reason why I purchased this application. No support reply from the developers page.
I used to use Cool Edit Pro 2.0, before it became Adobe Audition, and WavePad is quite good in comparison. Great for anyone who needs to quick and easy edits.
This needs fixed immediately as I rely on this program heavily. Every time you go to save, the dialogue box just keeps reappearing asking you to save it again. Very frustrating.
Wow i was really happy to see this but seeing that it can only open MP3 files really mad me mad. All i have is m4a and i have over 2,000 songs and i can’t just convert all 2,000 into MP3 files that quick. Nice knowing i just wasted 80$!!! FIX PROBLEM!!!!!!!
This app is a total waste for the money!! If i would have known that it only takes in MP.3 format and not MP.4 like almost all of iTunes!!! I would not have bought this app
Licensing doesn’t work properly! Cursor flashes. Obviously the person who gave this 5 stars didn’t actually use it. This is the kind of software that makes me very wary of buying from the App Store. - No refunds! I just uninstalled it - this money was wasted. I certainly won’t buy anything else from NCH in the future!
I had it installed as demo from developers webpage. It seem to work fine. so i decided to purchase from App Store, just to fine out that it wont open the file i was just working on in demo. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Subscription
I have no issues with paying for the app, but after a month, Apple charged me for the next month, then when I tried to use the app, it said I needed to subscribe. After a while of trying to get the app to work, allowed me to redo my subscription, so I did, so I have paid for the app for a second time, the app renewed on the 10th, then I went to use the app again, and it says I need to subscribe for the app again. There is no issue with the app, it works great, just the subscription is keeping me for wanting to use this app anymore.
Not Worth It!
About a year ago, in order to have the add ons, I purchased this app for $99.99. Now NCH is telling me, if I want to continue to use Wave Pad Master Edition, I have to sign up for a monthly subscription. If I have to pay a monthly subscription fee, I definitely would prefer Adobe Audition over NCH Wave Pad. I’m not going pay yet another subscription fee to anyone. I don’t mind a one time purchase, but I am tired of all the subscriptions. Especially after I had already purchased Wave Pad Master Edition. I promptly emailed NCH and they said it was Apple’s problem and NCH was so kind to tell that I could use the free edition. I reported this to Apple’s “Report a Problem” who replied back that I had contacted the wrong department. Typical.
the app would be great except it CRASHES constantly
great concept....app crashes. Sketchy seller. Company did an update a few months ago and still have not fixed the problem. I asked them to fix it... they did, except now they said that to get the fix, I would have to re-buy it NOT from apple ...but instead from their website. Sketchy seller.
Bad Update
There was an update for Wavepad Masters Edition for Macbook Pro, but it's stuck in the "waiting" mode. So now I can't use the app. I like it, but this update is not working!
Continually Crashes
I purchased Masters Edition specifically for editing audio files and saving them as MP3s to be used for ZOOM Church servics. Every time I perform the File Save As step the application crashes and I have to go through several steps to restart it. I have repeated reported the issue to NCH Software with no resolution.
I used to love this app.
Then I updated my mac and it's completely erroring out and ruining files. I'm sad.
This App needs help
I have used wavepad for years, and have been overall satisfied… until now. After this most recent OS update, the entire program stopped working. I can’t even open it!!! Get someting else cheaper and better. For what this program can actually do and the way it’s structured, it’s incredibly overpriced. Stay away.
Need to update this app more often.
Seriously this app is good to use but your not updating it and there is some issues going on. I can’t save or select a different folder to save. Im required to save as a untitled then must go into finder rename it and move it which is a serious pain!!. you can’t updated yearly or how ever your doing it.
Very Impressed
So you can have some way to judge this review, I am a software engineer and hate software that doesn’t do what you expect and the way you expect it. This app was perfect for what I needed. I had to splice together several pieces of hi fi music from multiple sources including FLAC, AIFF plus some MP4s (best available clips). Without much of a learning curve I was quckly copying in clips from multiple sources, bookmarking them, labelling them, comparing them, normalizing the volume levels (hadn’t thought about that, but noticed it on the menu) and exporting the product to the format I wanted (AIFF). I was pretty impressed.

Save your money! This is awful software!
